What is ultraviolet C?

Ultraviolet C (UVC)

Ultraviolet C light is the third type of UV light that comprise the UV light band. UVC light is absorbed by the Earth's atmosphere and does not pose any health benefit or risk. Tanning bed bulbs emit primarily UVA and UVB light. High pressure tanning units emit UVC light, but the units use a sophisticated filtering system that permits mainly UVA light to pass.
