Tip of the Week

Do you know what your skin type is? Whether you are tanning on a SunQuest Pro 22RS, a SunVision Pro 24S, or one of the many other models of home tanning beds available, you could be heading for trouble if you don’t know your skin type.

There are five skin types starting with albino (Skin Type I) to very dark (Skin Type V). Your skin type determines the duration and frequency of your tanning sessions. If you are tanning at an indoor tanning salon, the attendant should be able to help you identify your skin type and advise you on a recommended tanning schedule. If you are home tanning, the owner’s manual that comes with you tanning bed should have a chart that lists skin types and specifies the recommended tanning schedule.
