About Skin Type IV

Most people with skin type IV tend not to burn very often except when extremely overexposed to ultraviolet light from the sun or an indoor tanning bed such as those sold for use in the home or commercial tanning beds found in tanning salons. These people generally tan to a moderate brown and are minimally sun-sensitive. Examples of people with skin type IV include Caucasians with Mediterranean ancestry.
