Some conditions that respond to light therapy are seasonal affective disorder, psoriasis, and acne. In each of these cases, light therapy works to trigger different responses in the body that very often result in a reduction of symptoms for the individual. Light therapy can involve simply spending more time outdoors in the sun. It can involve the use of specially designed lamps. Or it can involve regular visits to your local indoor tanning salon. If you believe you have a condition that could benefit from the use of light therapy, you should discuss your concerns with your doctor.
