About Skin Type V
People of Middle Eastern or Hispanic descent as well as some African Americans tend to have skin type V. Those with skin type V rarely burn, tan well, and are not considered sun sensitive. While the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and the American Academy of Dermatology recommend the use of sun screen for all skin types, regardless of their tendency to burn, people with skin type V can tolerate ultraviolet light exposure better than most other skin types.
